Why My Fat Loss Story Will Shock You… And How After Struggling For 4 Months, I Discovered A Secret That Literally Forced Me To Lose 20 Lbs In 28 Days…
If you’re thinking about using diet pills, ‘fad’ diets or any other product to lose fat, I’m extremely relieved that you’ve found my blog because not only will my story shock you, it’ll almost certainly save your health, your money as well as a lot of time and heart ache.
I’ll tell you exactly why over a 4 month period I tried but was forced to give up with Hoodia, the Atkins Diet, low fat diets and a range of other plans… and how I finally managed to lose 20lbs in 28 Days with a unique system called ‘Fat Loss 4 Idiots‘.
My name is Jenny Jameson and like so many people, I spent months desperately trying to lose fat. I never used to have issue with it at all because I regularly swam, cycled and was generally very active.
However, in January 2008, after being a work at home mum for so many years (with quite a lot of time on my hands!) I started working for a local charity. Even though I enjoyed it, the problem was I didn’t have any time to keep myself slim anymore.
The Inevitable Started To Happen…
I slowly began to gain weight and due to lack of exercise and stress eating, I gradually put on 25 pounds over the course of 8 weeks and things didn’t get any better from there.
After a few months the work eased off slightly and I actually did have the chance to start swimming again, which I hoped would help me lose a little weight. However, after trying on my old swim suit and standing in front of the mirror as a ‘confidence test’, what I discovered was horrific. I looked repulsive. My belly fat was hanging out and my thighs looked enormous. ‘Thunder Thighs’ I named myself!
That was the point when I realized I had to do something about it; and by means that avoided exercise at all costs!
I Tried Hoodia & Failed… 
At the time, Hoodia was the ‘in thing’ to do and after speaking to three of my friends who had had moderate success with it, I decided to give it a go.
At first it worked out reasonably well and I began to lose a few pounds each week; and although that wasn’t exactly something to get too excited about, at least it was a start. And any ‘start’ was good!
However, after a few weeks, things began to go downhill. One of the major issues was that I was spending so much money on Hoodia pills. I was going back to their website what seemed like every two minutes to purchase yet more bottles because it seemed I needed up to 2500mg per day for it to have any real effect.
In fact, I was working my way through hundreds of dollars which was becoming a problem, especially with 2 kids. This was the point where I realized I had to stop.
I Then Tried The Atkins Diet But Was Forced To Give It Up…
After only 14 days on the Atkins Diet I began to feel unhealthy and extremely ill presumably because of the high levels of protein that I was consuming. Even with no medical expertise at all, I recognized that my digestive system was running into problems and for some reason the diet was also bringing on terrible migraines.
The most worrying thing of all though was that in the short time that I was following it, my cholesterol had skyrocketed and after getting a friendly warning from my doctor, and deciding that the pain and suffering I was experiencing wasn’t worth it compared to the amount of weight I was losing, I quit.
I then tried a range of low fat diets plans such as the Scarsdale and Lemonade diet but because the suggested calorie intake was almost ridiculously low, I became incredibly weak and felt like I was going to fall over all the time. I soon realized that if I was actually going to lose fat and keep it off for any length of time, it just wasn’t realistic.
Eventually, I found something that worked…
Having spent so much time, money and energy desperately trying to succeed with diets and plans that in the end had very little effect on my weight was a big regret. However, it all changed with the next diet I tried called Fat Loss 4 Idiots.

In this article, I’m going to cover the difference between weight loss and fat loss to give you a better understanding of how to lose that unwanted fat loss and keep it off. The defence can be extremely important this is because, people often misunderstand that fat loss is fat and weight is weight.
Have you ever had a friend come up to you and say, hey I’ve lost so much weight but I still look fat with my fat loss diet? This is all too common, the reason for this is so very simple, yes the person has lost weight but they haven’t lost fat even though I’ve been on a fat loss diet. When you start a diet or workout program, or anything that aim is to burn fat, then what often happens first is you start to lose what we in the business refer to as water weight.
Water weight is just that, water that is held within your body. When you start a diet or exercise you will lose water weight sometimes it is in the form of sweat other times it can occur because the body cannot retain that amount of water anymore. Whatever the reason, don’t be surprised if you start losing water weight and not fat loss.
I was once is this very same situation, I was started losing so much weight, water weight I should say, then when I looked in the mirror all I saw was fat loss. I was so disappointed, I had put so much effort into my weight loss journey and yet I was still fat loss. Were my scales lying to me? They said I had lost weight.
I went to the doctors one day and asked whether there scales were lying to me also, the doctor merely looked at me and smiled. Then he explained that I had lost water and fat loss, but mostly water. That is why I lost weight but still looked fat loss. The good news was, that I had lost some fat loss from my body and was starting to look better.
The advice he gave me was simple, keep doing what you are doing and you will start to see the results you want. Good advice, I thought to myself. So without much thinking or commitment on my part I set out to achieve the goal of losing fat loss and keeping it off forever. But where does one start? Well there are a few tips that worked well for me and I guarantee that they will work for you if you give them a chance.
Firstly, if you’re thinking that exercise will help you, I’m sorry to say that you are wrong. Exercise will only ever get you so far. I know this simply because I’ve tried it for myself, I went to the gym roughly 5 times a week, yes that is right I was at the gym 5 times a week, usually after I had drop the kids off at school and yet I was still fat loss. Exercise wasn’t the answer, yes, I know what you are thinking if you want to lose weight you do need to exercise.
This is because what we often refer to as an energy imbalance, let’s pretend that you want to lose weight. You quite simply need to be burning more calories than you are consuming.
For instance, calories being burned > calories because consumed.
So what is the best way to ensure that you are burning more calories than you are consuming? Well that my friend is easy, you do two things, firstly you start by lowing the amount of calories that you consume – this can be done by starting a diet (which I will discuss a little bit later) the other method is that you start exercising.
Now the reason we want to start exercising is so very simple, by exercising you can burn more calories that you are already. Now what is the best way to exercise in order to achieve this goal? There are many schools of thought on this issue, trust me, I know. But what works best for most people is a mixture of different exercises and most importantly different levels of intensity.
Let’s give the example of Lucy, she goes to the gym and runs on the treadmill for 45minutes then leaves and goes home?
Or
The example of Marry who goes to the gym, runs on the treadmill for 30 minutes then goes at uses the punching back for 15 minutes and then goes home.
Now marry is using doing machines (well the punching bag isn’t a machine but let’s pretend that it is just for the sake of argument) anyways, she is using different machines and increasing her calorie burn by subjecting her body to different levels of intensity. Just a quick tip, if you are using a treadmill then I strongly urge you to use the different intensity settings as most treadmills will have this feature and it can really help to increase your results. This is one of the best ways to burn excess calories and ultimately burn fat loss.
That being said, one of the most underappreciated weapons in the fat loss burning arsenal is the humble punching bag. It much shock you to think that punching something can help you to lose weight, but there is a massive calorie burn involved with punching a bag so much that it will help you to reach your goal in a very short amount of time. It will also help you to tone you arms and everybody loves toned arms.
I can prove it’s arm toning abilities, simply by referring you to boxers. When was the last time that you saw a boxer whose arms were not toned? That’s right, never that is because they spend all day punching and thus toning their arms.
It may also shock you to think that boxing has major benefits when it comes to stress. One of the biggest reasons that people gain weight is to do with stress, if you are stress then people tend to eat more. This excess eating results in an energy imbalance (which we discussed in quite some detail above) as I was saying by reducing stress, we can potentially have the power to reduce the amount of food we consume.
But how does one do this? That is simple, as I said, by using a punching bag each and everyday (or at least when ever you go to the gym) it can help by taking away your stress. Let’s pretend that you’ve got somebody in your life that you hate or at least really, really dislike – it could be a co-worker or one of your child’s friend’s parents. Whoever. Just pretend that it is their face you see on the punching bag every time you hit it. You will be amazed at how good it makes you feel and how well it can reduce stress.
Punching a bag can also increase confidence, you may be worried that you’re going to get mugged when you go to the shops – it’s alright to feel a little insecure. That’s ok. Well, if you’ve been using a punching bag for some time, then trust when I say you will know how to through a punch and no mugger will ever mess with you. Haha.
Some final notes on exercising to burn fat loss, it should be clearly that you really don’t need to start some crazy workout program if you want to lose weight. You just to make sure that you are burning more energy then you are consuming – one way to do this is by increasing the amount of exercise that you do each and every day. Now that level of exercise will depend upon the food you eat, as I’m about to tell you, the more you eat, the more exercise you will need to do to create that energy imbalance.
Ok so let’s pretend that you eat around 4000calories in a meal (which is quite a lot) then you will need to work extra hard at the gym to get rid of that 4k of energy sitting in your body, correct? That’s why I recommend you start a low calorie diet. Such a diet will have massive benefits if you are trying to lose weight.
Things you must avoid include candy, sugary foods and anything and everything that is highly processed. So quite simply, if it comes in a wrapper don’t bother eating it. This is because it most likely is high in sugar and therefore contains a lot of excess calories that you really don’t want to be eating.
My favourite fat loss diet tips
That being said, here a few tips that you can use if you want to reduce the amount of calories which you consume each day in order to create that energy imbalanced which we discussed previously;
Try avoiding adding sugar to your tea or coffee, you’d be amazed how many people actually forget that adding sugar to the coffee is just excess calories that are going to be harder to be burn off later. Such a small and simple thing but it can have major benefits for you later on down the road.
Avoid soda and fruit drinks, you will be surprised how much sugar these drinks contain, you really will. The golden rule is simple, if it taste sweet then it more than likely has a lot of sugar in it. That is why, I urge you to reconsider that glass of fruit juice every morning for breakfast.
It should go without saying, at least it does for me and my friends, that chocolate and candy should be avoided like the plague. As the golden rule states, if it taste sweet then it is most likely loaded up with all the sugar in the world.
You may be wondering, well fruit taste sweet, is that too loaded up with sugar. The answer is yes, but that is fructose and galatose which are two different types of monohydrate sugars – this means that they break down easier than normal table sugar and are thus a lot faster to digest. Resulting in the chance that you won’t gain fat loss as easily as you normal done.
Also the benefits you will get from eating fruit, such as fibre and vitamins massive outweigh any risks that you may be scared of resulting from the sugar contained within the fruit.
One last thing that I think everybody should be aware of, there is a massive misconception about fibre and carbohydrates. Well, quite simple fibre is carbohydrates and so is sugar. This may sound a bit worrying to you, but unfortunately it is the truth.
There are two types of carbohydrates, complex and simple. The first is that of complex this is the good type of carbohydrate, the one that you want to be eating if you are on a fat loss journey. There are many reasons for this, the first is that they can keep you feeling full for longer, thus reducing your desire to eat and eat. The second is that they can help with digestion, by clearing out your insides.
One reason why people are fat loss is because they don’t eat enough fibre in their diet, the reason for this is because when food digests, the longer it remains in your body, the more energy is being absorbed by the body. Thus you start to get fat loss as the body can absorb more energy then it needs.
This is where good old fibre/complex carbs come into place (just a quick tip, complex carbohydrates and fibre mean the same thing, so please don’t be confused) they work by flushing out the colon and keeping your insides clear. Thus it becomes harder and harder for your body to absorb more fat loss than it needs in a day and thus it becomes easier for you to lose that unwanted weight fast.
The other type of carbohydrate that we discussed previously is that of simple carbohydrates, because we gave a pretty good discussion of it above, I won’t waste your time by going through it again. Quite simply though, simple carbohydrates are those which the body can break down easily and use for a source of fuel or energy.
They get the name simple because there are just that, simple. There are lest links within the chemical chain as one would find with a more complex carbohydrate. It should be obvious that simple carbohydrates are that of sugars such as candy etc… just like we discussed above.
With that in mind, I would also recommend that you get a good night sleep as one of the reasons that we over eat is because we under slept. It may be a surprise to you, but numerous studies including one done by flinders university in Adelaide Australia concluded that the reason a lot of people over eat is because they didn’t get enough sleep.
The study found that people we eating too much to compensate for the lack of energy that their body had. That is why I recommend, if you want to lose that unwanted fat loss. Please get a good night sleep it really will help you reach your goals and at the end of the day that is all you really need, isn’t it?
One last tip I have for you before you go, if you haven’t gone already – because reading this can’t be that much fun due to my terrible spelling and grammar, get a friend. You probably already have friends, well at least I hope you do – but if you can get a friend, or two that are trying for fat loss, team up with them. This way if you are slipping or thinking of giving up, then they can encourage you to stay the course.
Motivation is key to your fat loss journey
The same can be said for your friends, if say they don’t want to go to the gym to work out, you can encourage them to do it and together you can bother enjoy the benefits of a new slim you.
I will leave you will some words of encouragement that have helped me “don’t give up” – three little words that will work for you if you give them a chance. I was in the same position as you, overweight and not being able to change my body, then I realised that I needed to make a change. I did that all the while, I was repeating those three words in my head over and over and eventually I reached my goal.
So for whatever reason you are trying to lose that unwanted fat loss all I have to say to you is don’t give up. Just keep exercising and watch what you eat and eventually you will make it, trust me, I’ve been there and I made it. Good luck with your fat loss diet quest.
